Larry
J. Roeder is an award winning journalist and author whose

nearby regions of Berks, Bucks, Lehigh, and Montgomery
Counties in Pennsylvania.
His stories have enlightened many to the rich heritage

In addition to his weekly Valley Past column
that has appeared in the Town and Country newspaper
since 1999,
he has authored many feature articles. He has also
penned two books and several of his stories appear in others.
He
has written four fictional stories based on actual
happenings in the region. These stories of the

flavor, especially during the Halloween season.
Roeder
has served in a diverse field of elected and appointed
positions in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Montgomery
County, and within the Upper Perkiomen Valley.
He

After
working for 15 years as an administrator at Philadelphia
Newspapers, Inc., publishers of the Philadelphia Inquirer
and Daily News, he purchased the Town &
Country newspaper in 2006. He currently serves as its' Publisher
and Editor. His
varied experiences provide him with an insight to the programs
he delivers.
Since
2001, he has been the guest curator for the Hose, Hook &
Ladder Exhibit at the Schwenkfelder Library and Heritage
Center. The six-week event highlights the community
